Full Biography.

Efrat Berestizhevsky is an accomplished pianist and music academic, teaching and performing classical and contemporary music. She is a recent graduate from the Steinhart School at New York University, receiving her second Masters of Music in Piano Performance. Alongside her graduate program at NYU, Efrat served as piano faculty, teaching group and private piano sessions to undergraduate students at all levels. Efrat is committed to a holistic understanding of piano performance, and in previous education has focused on music history, philosophy of aesthetic, and non-western music. Outside of academia, Efrat has performed in a multitude of local and international concerts, including NYU Contemporary Music Ensemble and Scotland’s Sound Festival. In the fall, she is starting her PhD in Musicology.
