Full Biography.

Born in China, Tianmi Wu studied piano from 5 years old. From elementary school until high school, she studied at Shanghai Conservatory of Music with Prof. Yunlin Yang. Wu completed her BM in Oberlin Conservatory as a student of Piano Performance Major and Music History Minor under Prof. Angela Cheng. During the time in Oberlin, she won the 2017 Rudolf Serkin Prize, 2018 John Elvin Prize, and the first prize of Concerto Competition in 2019. Besides competitions, she was selected to perform in special events such as the orientation concert and the graduation concert and performed the Grieg Concerto with Oberlin Orchestra after winning the competition in 2019. After graduating from Oberlin in 2019, Wu continued to pursue her MM and DMA in CCM with Prof. Ran Dank. During the time in CCM, she gained the Three Arts Scholarship, and won the Concerto Competition and performed with CCM Orchestra in 2021. In 2023, She won the first prize of Lima Piano Competition and was invited to perform with the Lima Symphony Orchestra in December. Wu is currently a DMA student in CCM.
