Full Biography.
Ms. An Nguyen began playing piano at the age of four. She graduated with highest distinction from the Vietnam National Academy of Music under the tutelage of Professor Tran Thu Ha. She recently graduated from Oberlin Conservatory, studying Piano Performance with Professor Alvin Chow. An Nguyen has won numerous international prizes, including First Prize at the Autumn National Music Competition and the Remarkable Artist Award in 2019. She has performed at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, was twice awarded the Toyota Scholarship for Young Talents, and appeared as soloist with the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra under conductor Honna Tetsuji. She has performed across the United States, Spain, and France, and has participated in masterclasses with distinguished pianists from around the world, including Dang Thai Son (Oberlin Conservatory), Douglas Humphreys (Eastman School of Music), and James Giles (Bienen School of Music).
