Ms. Lin Ye (叶琳老师) gained her Master of Music in Classical Piano with President's Award from the Manhattan School of Music in 2023 and graduated summa cum laude from Ohio State University with Dual Bachelors Degrees in Piano Performance and Psychology in 2021. She has taught students at all different levels, ranging from young children to adults in both English and Chinese. Ms. Ye is a professional and strictly trained classical pianist with over 25 years experience and has taught students for over 12 years with techniques incorporating both Asian and Western methodologies.

Ms. Ye has performed symphony orchestras as a solo pianist, won numerous international competitions and prizes, and held many performances and solo recitals throughout China and the US. She has a wide range of solo repertoire and presented masterpieces from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Contemporary periods in different genres, including pieces from Bach, Rameau, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Prokofiev, Shostakovich, Liszt, Ravel, Debussy, Saint-Saëns, Gottschalk, Liebermann, Satie, Henry Cowell, Georges Ocki-Albi, Nury Halmammedov, Yoshimatsu, Fazil Say, Gershwin, and more.

With her background in Chinese tradition, besides the above-mentioned classical repertoire Ms. Ye also teaches and presents Chinese pieces, including 梁祝, 茉莉花, 绣金匾, 牧童短笛, 浏阳河, 二泉映月 from composers Chu Wanghua, Wang Jianzhong, He Luting, and more. She believes it is valuable and beneficial for everyone to maintain, protect, and present their traditions. In addition to standard Western studies that students should learn and focus on, Ms. Ye is also willing to teach Chinese and other lesser-known, fun, or relaxing works if/when students and parents would like to as it can build their love of music.

Having an interest in both music and human psychology, she seeks to merge the knowledge and ideas of both fields to discover each student's characteristics and musical potential to better teach, encourage, and develop the students in their own unique pianistic, musical, and life journeys.
